SWDC Commits to Result-Driven Development in Southwest

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) pledged its commitment to result-driven development for the Southwest region during a high-level development clinic held in Lagos. This event was organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Region Development and UNICEF.

The three-day clinic aimed to align regional development plans with federal policies, focusing on implementing a delivery framework based on diagnostic priorities. Dr. Charl Diji Akinola, SWDC's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, emphasized a results-based management approach to strengthen strategic implementation and measure outcomes in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

SWDC Board Chairman Sen. Olubunmi Adetunmbi reaffirmed the board's commitment to adhering to civil service rules and due process. The clinic featured various stakeholders, including former Director General of the Budget Office, Mr. Ben Akabuez, and renowned policy expert Prof. Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka.

The initiative aims to unify and coordinate development efforts across the region to enhance accountability and impact.
