SWDC Commits to Result-Driven Development in Lagos

The South West Development Commission (SWDC) reaffirmed its commitment to result-driven development at a high-level clinic organized in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Region Development and UNICEF, held recently at the Lagos Marriott Hotel in Ikeja. The three-day clinic aimed to align regional development plans with public service rules, financial regulations, and international best practices.

Charl Akinola, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SWDC, emphasized a results-based management approach to strengthen strategic implementation and measure outcomes in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. Olubunmi Adetunmbi, Chairman of the SWDC Board, reiterated the board's commitment to uphold standards and adhere to civil service rules.

UNICEF's Chief of Social Policy, Hamid Poufon, expressed satisfaction with the engagement, highlighting the importance of strong coordination in national policy frameworks. The clinic featured various facilitators, including former officials and experts from different sectors, aimed at enhancing collaboration for sustainable development across the South West region.
