Synergy Essential for Military Success, Says CAS Anek

During a lecture titled "Military Strategic Leadership Perspective" at the Air Force War College Nigeria in Makurdi on December 12, 2026, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek stressed the importance of synergy in military operations. He urged commanders to embrace strategic leadership and innovative collaboration to enhance operational effectiveness in the face of complex security challenges.

Anek's remarks came as the Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to defending Nigeria's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, called for prayers for the armed forces as they confront evolving security challenges.

The event also marked the 163rd anniversary of the Nigerian Army, where Major General Maxwel Dangana acknowledged the sacrifices of personnel deployed across various operational theaters. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam reiterated that synergy is not merely an option but a strategic necessity for achieving effective command outcomes.
