NAF Intensifies Operations Against Terrorism and Kidnapping

Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, the Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has tasked personnel to intensify operations against terrorists and kidnappers, declaring them a significant threat to national security. During a final physical fitness test for trainees of the special forces course at the Regiment Training Centre Annex in Bauchi, Anek reaffirmed NAF's commitment to enhancing operational effectiveness through rigorous training.

He stated that the changing security environment necessitates personnel to be physically fit and mentally resilient to undertake complex operations. The NAF will continue to train, equip, and deploy personnel capable of confronting criminal elements threatening innocent citizens.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam noted that the assessment is designed to ensure trainees demonstrate exceptional physical fitness and operational readiness. Squadron Leader Edeama Lawrenc Akpan explained that the success of special operations depends on physical endurance and mental toughness.
