NANS Warns APC Youth Leader Against Campus Programs

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) issued a warning to Dayo Israel, the youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding his plans to organize political programs across tertiary institutions in Nigeria without prior consultation with recognized student leadership structures. This statement, signed by six zonal coordinators, expressed concerns about the potential for political tensions and the exclusion of legitimate student representation.

NANS emphasized that any political activities must involve proper coordination and safety assessments to protect students from partisan rivalries and potential violence. The organization stated that they would resist any attempts to exploit students for political gain and called for state governments to prioritize the welfare and academic stability of students over political affiliations.

The forum remains open to constructive engagement with political parties, provided that student leadership is recognized and involved in the process.
