Tambuwal Urges Judiciary to Uphold Nigeria's Democracy

On Tuesday, Aminu Tambuwal, the former governor of Sokoto State and a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress, delivered a cautionary address regarding the judiciary's role in Nigeria's democracy. Speaking at the national convention of the African Democratic Congress held in Abuja, Tambuwal emphasized the importance of the judiciary acting with integrity and patriotism.

He warned judges and justices against actions that could subvert the democratic process, urging them to resist external pressures that might compromise their decisions. Tambuwal highlighted the historical significance of individuals in sensitive judicial positions, stressing that their actions could impact the future of democracy in Nigeria.

He further warned that public sentiment would rise against any individuals or groups attempting to undermine the judiciary and, by extension, the country's democratic framework.
