Ubandoma Defects to APC, Citing Leadership Credibility

Mallam Idu Umar Ubandoma, a close ally of former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and a former commissioner of finance, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by Bashar Abubakar, the media aide to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the APC leader in Sokoto State.

Ubandoma praised Wamakko's leadership qualities and the achievements of Governor Ahmadu Aliyu's administration in sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and rural development. He expressed confidence that the APC remains a credible platform for the continued development of Sokoto State.

Wamakko described Ubandoma's defection as a significant boost for the APC, reflecting growing confidence among political leaders in the party. Ubandoma assured that he would receive equal treatment within the APC and emphasized the party's commitment to unity and peace in Sokoto State.
