Taraba Governor Denies Money Allegations for APC Defection

Taraba State Governor Kefa has publicly refuted allegations suggesting he received money to switch his allegiance from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He clarified that his decision to consider joining the APC was motivated by a strategic focus on the development of Taraba State rather than any financial incentives.

Governor Kefa expressed satisfaction with the new political platform and remains optimistic about the opportunities it presents for the state. He also declared his confidence in his ability to deliver for Taraba State under the presidency of Bola Tinubu, who is the president-elect for the 2027 elections.

Additionally, Kefa dismissed speculation regarding strained relations with elder statesman and former Defence Minister General Theophilus Danjuma, following a recent visit by the retired general, which aimed to reaffirm their long-standing bond.
