Taraba Police Reinforces Merit-Based Promotions Commitment

The Taraba State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to merit-based promotions aimed at enhancing the capacity and development of officers in line with the vision of the force. This announcement was made during a ceremony held on Tuesday in Jalingo, where several officers were promoted to the rank of Inspector and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

The State Commissioner of Police, Betti Enekpen, emphasized that these promotions reflect the resolve of police leadership to motivate personnel and improve the quality of service delivered to the public. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nandiyak Tiss, congratulated the newly promoted officers, describing their elevation as recognition of their dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.

Enekpen urged the officers to demonstrate professional integrity and exemplary leadership in carrying out their duties. The promotions align with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to strengthen institutional capacity and uphold high standards within the force.

ASP Seth Edom expressed appreciation for the Inspector General's commitment to officer welfare and commended the police service for justifying the promotions.
