Tax Reforms Must Drive Economic Growth, Says Chukwudozi

During a stakeholder engagement organized by the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service and the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association, Mr. Adaora Chukwudozi, the Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's South East Zone, called for tax reforms that extend beyond mere revenue generation.

He stressed that the tax system should actively drive product economic growth. Chukwudozi highlighted the importance of taxation incentives for local manufacturers to enhance exports and encourage value addition.

He noted that manufacturers are prepared to collaborate with the government to build a tax system that promotes revenue generation and economic expansion. Chukwudozi emphasized that successful tax reform measures should focus on increasing productivity, job creation, and improving industrial competitiveness, rather than solely on revenue collection.
