Rollex Dee Granted Bail After Two Months in Detention

Nigerian singer Rollex Dee was granted bail by a High Court on Friday, August 21, 2026, after spending approximately two months in police detention. The bail amount is set at N100 million, and Rollex must provide two sureties, each valued at N50 million, with one surety required to be a family member.

MC Bokujaka, who has been leading an online campaign for Rollex's release, indicated that these conditions could complicate Rollex's ability to secure his bail and regain freedom. Rollex's legal issues began in April 2026 when he was arrested for allegedly defaming and cyberbullying another musician during an interview on the Agbaletu programme.

Although he was released, he was reportedly re-arrested in July after being invited to a reconciliation meeting by the Police Command. His troubles are linked to his past association with Taye Currency during a conflict with Pasuma, which led to the allegations against him.
