Team Block X Wins HabariPay Squad Hackathon in Nigeria

Team Block X emerged as the winner of the HabariPay Squad Hackathon, a highly competitive event organized by Guaranty Trust Holding Company PLC's fintech subsidiary, HabariPay. The hackathon featured innovative technological solutions designed to tackle critical economic and societal challenges, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and digital inclusion.

The grand final took place at the GT Centre and highlighted the use of cutting-edge technology to connect workers with employment opportunities and facilitate financial services. Segun Agbaj, Group Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Holding Company PLC, described the hackathon as a platform for developing future technology leaders capable of solving real-world problems.

Eduofon Japhet, Managing Director of HabariPay, noted that this year's participation increased tenfold compared to previous editions, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between classroom theory and practical problem-solving using emerging technologies.
