Kebbi State to Support Families of Slain Police Officers

The Kebbi State Government has committed to supporting the families of 10 police officers and other civilians who were killed by bandits at Rafin Makuku in Sakaba Local Government Area. This pledge was made by Governor Nasir Idris on Tuesday during a condolence visit from a delegation led by Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Umar Dada, representing Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Idris emphasized that it is a tradition in Kebbi to assist the families of security personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty. DIG Dada assured the governor that efforts would be intensified to apprehend those responsible for the attack and bring them to justice.

He also acknowledged the state government's ongoing support for the police and announced plans to establish a police squadron in Kebbi State to enhance security operations and protect lives and property.
