IGP Disu Orders Hunt for Kebbi Attack Perpetrators

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has mandated intensified operations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of an attack along the Rafin Makuku axis of Sakaba Local Government Area in Kebbi State, which resulted in the deaths of 10 police officers and several civilians. This directive was communicated in a statement issued on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu.

On Tuesday, Disu had dispatched a delegation led by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Operations, Umar Shehu-Nadada, to Kebbi State to engage with the state government and other stakeholders regarding the security situation. The delegation was tasked with reinforcing efforts to prevent further attacks and improve security in the affected areas.

The IGP expressed concern over the fatalities and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to bringing those responsible to justice. The police will also support the families of the slain officers in accordance with its welfare policies.
