Ten Police Officers Killed in Kebbi Bandit Attack

On Monday at approximately 9:25 am, a violent encounter occurred in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State between security operatives and a heavily armed group of suspected bandits. The Kebbi State Police Command, through its spokesman SP Bashir Usman, confirmed that ten police personnel and two civilians were killed during the clash.

The police also reported that at least 17 suspected bandits were neutralized during the gun battle, although the exact number of bandit casualties is still being verified. Four motorcycles belonging to the attackers were destroyed in the encounter.

The police personnel who lost their lives were described as brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the state. Two additional officers sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
