Terrorists Kill 30 in Kaduna Village Attack

On Sunday night, suspected terrorists attacked Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 individuals, including eight children. The attack commenced around 11 p.m., with the assailants shooting indiscriminately and setting homes ablaze.

Mr. Dogon Rana, the Secretary to the Village Head, confirmed the fatalities and noted that four others sustained critical injuries.

He described the incident as unprecedented for the community, which has been devastated by the loss of life and property. Rana reported that his own house was destroyed, and many families were left homeless.

He attributed the high casualty figure to the lack of a motorable access road, which delayed emergency response and hindered escape. Rana appealed to both the Federal and Kaduna State Governments for increased security personnel and the construction of a road to improve access.

The attack has raised concerns among residents of Kauru Local Government Area, who have faced repeated violence from armed groups.
