Terrorist Attack in Kaduna Claims 30 Lives, Including Children

A terrorist attack on Naridon community in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, resulted in the deaths of at least 30 individuals, including eight children. The assault occurred late Sunday night around 11 p.m., when attackers invaded the village, firing at residents and setting numerous houses and shops on fire.

Mr. Dogon Rana, the Secretary to the Village Head, confirmed the incident, describing it as one of the deadliest attacks the community has faced recently.

He indicated that the death toll could rise as some injured victims remain in critical condition. Four injured residents are currently receiving medical treatment, while the community is searching for missing individuals.

Rana lamented the tragedy, noting that one family lost five children. He attributed the high casualty figures to the poor infrastructure, which hindered timely access for security personnel and emergency responders.

He urged both the federal and Kaduna State governments to prioritize road construction to enhance security and emergency response.
