Governor Dapo Abiodun Transforms Ijebu-Ode Roads

Since assuming office on May 29, 2019, Governor Dapo Abiodun has initiated a comprehensive road renewal program in Ijebu-Ode, addressing years of poor road conditions. This initiative is part of the Infrastructure pillar of his administration's ISEYA agenda, aimed at enhancing sustainable development through efficient connectivity.

Significant projects include the reconstruction and rehabilitation of major roads such as Awujale Road, Ogbagba Street, and the Molipa Expressway, among others. On June 18, 2023, Governor Abiodun commissioned Tam Balogun Road and Luba/Stadium Road, which have improved access to commercial and recreational facilities.

Ongoing construction on roads like Olojabara Street and Imoru Road further demonstrates the administration's commitment to sustained infrastructure development. According to Engr. Ade Akinsanya, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, the focus is on creating durable roads rather than temporary solutions.

This transformation has positively impacted transportation costs, travel times, and overall accessibility in Ijebu-Ode.
