Nigerian Military Kills 438 Terrorists in Seven-Month Operation

Maj Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar, the Theatre Commander of the North East Sector 1, revealed that a joint task force operation had successfully eliminated 438 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in a seven-month operation. The operation, which took place in Maiduguri, Borno State, also led to the recovery of 254 assorted weapons, 300 communication devices, and the rescue of 366 civilians.

The success was attributed to the collaboration of forces and the intervention of the Chief of Army Staff. The operation coincided with the Christmas celebration and the dry season, ensuring the maintenance of operational tempo.
