Sowore Condemns Attack on Peter Obi's Convoy in Benue

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), condemned the attack and blockade of Peter Obi’s convoy, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), in Benue State. Sowore expressed his concerns in a Facebook post, describing the incident as allegedly state-sponsored and accusing agents of the Benue State Government and President Bola Tinubu's administration of orchestrating political intimidation and violence against an opposition candidate.

He asserted that in a democratic society, every presidential candidate should be able to travel and campaign without facing violence or intimidation. Sowore warned that such attacks on political candidates could endanger the democratic rights of all Nigerians.

He stated, “Those behind these cowardly attacks are toying with fire and threatening the democratic rights of all Nigerians. They must desist immediately before it is too late.”.
