Thomas Partey Denies Two New Rape Allegations in Court

Thomas Partey, a 32-year-old footballer formerly with Arsenal, appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London to plead not guilty to two new rape allegations, adding to previous charges. He has denied a total of seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving four women, with the incidents linked to allegations from December 2020 and between 2021 and 2022.

The judge, Toni Baumgartner, ruled that all allegations will be tried together, with the trial scheduled for November 2026, having been pushed back from an earlier date. Partey, who wore dark grey trousers, a black jumper, a white shirt, and black shoes during the hearing, did not attend an earlier session at Westminster Magistrates' Court where the initial charges were outlined.

His lawyer indicated that he would remain on bail with restrictions on contacting the alleged victims. Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £45 million in 2020 and is expected to play for Ghana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
