Teenagers Awarded Scholarships at Oyo Conference

At the second edition of the Summer SpeakFest conference held on Saturday at the Ibadan Business School, Oyo State, the youth development organization Talk Up Tribe awarded scholarships to three teenagers. Oluwatomiyin Oyelade, an SS1 student from Oritamefa Baptist Model School, received a ₦120,000 scholarship, while Mary Adebaba, an SS2 student from Federal Government College, Oyo, was awarded ₦100,000.

Oladipupo Damilare from Bishop Onabanjo High School also received a Senior WAEC scholarship. The conference, themed “Amplifying Teen Voices,” gathered 105 teenagers for sessions focused on confidence, communication, financial literacy, and creative expression.

Orenimi Olawuyi, the Convener, emphasized the organization's commitment to providing tangible opportunities for youth. Keynote speaker Osarennoma Saba praised Talk Up Tribe for facilitating mentorship and exposure for young people.

The event included various activities, such as a financial literacy session by Union Bank Nigeria and a talent showcase.
