Thugs Kill Kano Resident After Maulud Gathering Attack

A tragic incident occurred in Kano where a resident was killed by thugs while returning home from a Maulud gathering. The violence reportedly stemmed from a clash that began after a young man from a neighboring community was injured, prompting his friends to seek revenge.

According to SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the spokesman for the Kano State Police Command, security personnel were dispatched to the area following a distress call. Eyewitness Salihu Shamsu Saleh reported that the victim was attacked with weapons, suffering deep cuts to his chest and neck, which ultimately led to his death.

The police confirmed that some suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend additional individuals involved. Local residents have urged the youth to refrain from taking the law into their own hands, emphasizing that gang violence continues to jeopardize lives in the community.
