Tinubu Appoints Major General Fadewa as Security Advisor

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Major General Adeyinka Fadewa (rtd) as Special Assistant on Homeland Security, as announced in a circular signed on Monday by Senator George Akume. This appointment recognizes Fadewa's exceptional record of service and expertise in national security.

His career spans over three decades in military intelligence, where he has contributed significantly to Nigeria's security architecture. Fadewa's previous roles include serving as a senior research fellow at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja and as a pivotal figure in shaping Nigeria's modern intelligence coordination framework from 2015 to 2021.

He was instrumental in establishing the Intelligence Fusion Centre under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), which integrated multiple agencies for improved national threat assessment and strategic response. Tinubu has tasked Fadewa with utilizing his extensive experience to advance national security objectives and support the administration's agenda for a safer Nigeria through enhanced coordination and proactive risk management.
