Tinubu Commissions OSEX Main Carriageway in Abuja

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commissioned the OSEX Main Carriageway at the Outer Southern Expressway ring road junction in Abuja. He emphasized the importance of infrastructure in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.

During the commissioning ceremony, Tinubu stated that his administration is committed to completing projects and not allowing them to remain abandoned. The first phase of the expressway, which includes an interchange and a 15-kilometer left-hand service carriageway, is set to be inaugurated in 2025.

Tinubu praised the leadership of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for ensuring that contractors remain committed to delivering the project on schedule. The completed carriageway is expected to significantly improve mobility within the capital, reduce traffic congestion, and lower transport costs, thereby opening new areas for residential and commercial development.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to investing in the road transport network across the country.
