Tinubu Congratulates Garo as Kano's New Deputy Governor

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu issued a congratulatory message to Yusuf Garo on his appointment as the Deputy Governor of Kano State, which took place on Tuesday. Garo's swearing-in follows the resignation of Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, who left his position after the governor's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Garo, a 48-year-old politician, has held various positions, including Chairman of the Kabo Local Government Commission and involvement in local government chieftaincy affairs during the previous administration of Abdullahi Ganduje. In his statement, President Tinubu commended Governor Yusuf for the appointment, emphasizing the need for unity within the APC ranks in Kano State.

He urged stakeholders to rally behind the governor and provide full support to the new Deputy Governor, encouraging Garo to work diligently alongside the governor to provide the necessary leadership for the state's development.
