Wike Claims Tinubu Resolved Muslim-Muslim Ticket Issue

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, asserted that President Bola Tinubu has effectively addressed the controversy related to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket. During an interview on TVC News, Wike reflected on the 2023 presidential election, where he mentioned that all his children supported Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, primarily due to concerns over the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket.

He indicated that this situation has changed, stating that his children now express regret for their previous support of Obi, who is currently the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Wike emphasized that the issues surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket have been resolved, saying, “Tinubu has been able to kill the Muslim-Muslim ticket problem.” He also expressed skepticism about Obi's chances of winning the 2027 presidential election.
