Tinubu, Obasanjo Never Backed Yoruba Against Northerners – OPC

The OPC report group clarified at a press conference in Ibadan, Oyo State, that Buba Galadima's claim of Tinubu and Obasanjo backing the Yoruba against Northerners is false. The OPC National Public Relations Officer, Akin Adesina, refuted Galadima's allegations made during a recent television program.

Adesina stated that Galadima accused a northern group of recruiting late President Buhari into politics and claimed that the OPC invaded Ilorin, Kwara State, in 1999-2000 to uproot the Fulani structure. Adesina emphasized that the accusations against Tinubu and Obasanjo were misleading and untrue.

He recalled an incident in October 2000 during the tenure of late former Oyo State governor Lam Adesina to support his rebuttal of Galadima's claims.
