Oyo APC Reconciles Aspirants Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has commenced reconciliation efforts with aggrieved members and stakeholders in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This initiative follows a meeting addressing dissatisfaction with the recent Oyo State House of Assembly primary election outcomes.

The Oyo State APC House of Assembly Reconciliation Committee, chaired by Alhaji Mufitau Adisa Gbayawu, with Bisoye Fagade as Co-Chairman and Barr. Dr Rotimi Okeowo as Secretary, reported significant progress in resolving complaints from aspirants.

Most aspirants have agreed to prioritize the party's collective interest over personal ambitions, demonstrating maturity and commitment to unity. They pledged to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the election of APC candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and Oyo State House of Assembly.

The committee urged all party members to maintain the reconciliation process and avoid actions that could reignite divisions as the 2027 elections approach.
