Tinubu Renews Tenures of NTA, NAN Leaders for Three Years

On Sunday, President Bola Tinubu renewed the tenures of Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos and Ali Mohammed Ali for another three years as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), respectively. This decision was announced in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Dembos and Ali were initially appointed on October 20, 2023, and their renewed terms will commence on October 20, 2026. Dembos, from Yola, Adamawa State, has a notable background in media, having served in various capacities at NTA since joining as an announcer in 1989.

Ali is recognized as a veteran journalist with over 30 years of experience and holds degrees from Bayero University, Kano, and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Tinubu urged both executives to justify his confidence by demonstrating commitment to their organizations' mandates and the government's Renewed Hope Agenda.
