Apostle Suleman Accuses Tinubu of Rigging APC Primary

Apostle Johnson Suleman, a cleric, made allegations that President Bola Tinubu rigged the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections for the 2027 presidential candidacy. During a sermon, Suleman questioned the credibility of the electoral process, suggesting that Tinubu's victory reflected a pattern of electoral manipulation.

He criticized the outcome of the APC primary, which saw Tinubu emerge as the winner by a significant margin against challenger Stanlei Osifo. Despite the overwhelming support Tinubu received within the ruling party, the high number of votes raised concerns among critics, including civil society actors, about the transparency of the internal electoral process.

Some argued that the results appeared unusually high when compared to previous elections. In response, APC officials defended the primary, asserting it was conducted according to established guidelines and demonstrated internal democracy.

Supporters of Tinubu dismissed Suleman's allegations, stating there was a lack of evidence to support his claims.
