Tributes Pour In for The Eagle Publisher Dotun Oladipo

Dotun Oladipo, the publisher of The Eagle, died on August 25, 2026, in Lagos at the age of 56, reportedly from a suspected heart attack. President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences through a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, calling Oladipo's death a significant loss to Nigeria's media industry and democracy.

Sanwo-Olu recalled personal interactions with Oladipo, noting his calm demeanor and professionalism. Danlami Nmodu, President of GOCOP, recognized Oladipo's vital role in the organization's development and his leadership during a crucial period for online publishers.
