Tinubu to Announce Salary Increase for Soldiers Soon

The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Retd.), announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will soon declare a salary increase for Armed Forces personnel. This announcement was made during a workshop for widows and wives of service members at Lungi Barracks, Abuja.

Musa emphasized the government's commitment to adequately rewarding military personnel for their sacrifices in safeguarding the nation. He noted that soldiers currently receive ₦100,000, an increase from ₦49,000, which he advocated for two years ago.

Musa expressed confidence that the President, whom he described as a "listening father," will soon announce further salary enhancements. The workshop, themed ‘Renewed Hope for Families of the Armed Forces of Nigeria Through Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development,’ was organized by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with SMEDAN.

Musa acknowledged the critical role of military families in supporting personnel during challenging times and reiterated the government's dedication to improving their economic well-being.
