Tinubu Promises to Tackle Northern Nigeria's Insecurity

President Bola Tinubu announced that the security challenges facing Nigeria, especially in the northern region, will soon be resolved. He made this statement during the Third General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Lecture at Arewa House in Kaduna, where he was represented by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari.

Tinubu highlighted the decisive measures his administration has implemented to combat criminal activities nationwide. He paid tribute to General Hassan Usman Katsina, recognizing his contributions to national unity and the foundation he laid for Nigeria's democracy.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration's dedication to securing the nation and improving education, infrastructure, transportation, and energy in the North. Additionally, Prof. Ango Abdullahi, Chairman of the Northern Elders Forum, lamented the decline of moral values in the North, attributing the region's worsening insecurity and underdevelopment to a departure from the principles of its founding leaders.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, called for divine intervention for those committing evil in the country.
