Imansuaghon Critiques Tinubu, Backs Atiku's Economic Plan

Kenneth Imansuaghon, a stalwart of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Edo State governorship aspirant, criticized the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, claiming they have deepened poverty and increased the cost of living for Nigerians. Speaking from the United States, Imansuaghon stated that many citizens have lost their livelihoods due to the harsh economic environment.

He expressed confidence in former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar's presidential aspirations, arguing that reopening Nigeria’s land borders with neighboring countries such as Benin Republic, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon would enhance commerce, attract investment, and alleviate economic hardships. Imansuaghon noted that the closure of borders has disrupted legitimate businesses and regional trade, adversely affecting economic growth.

He also mentioned the exit of Uber from Nigeria as indicative of a challenging business climate. Imansuaghon believes that an Atiku-led administration would implement policies to reverse the current economic challenges, including measures to facilitate the importation and movement of goods.
