ADC Chieftain Critiques Tinubu's Borrowing Practices

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's government of borrowing more than all past administrations combined. During an appearance on Channels TV's Sunrise Daily, Momodu stated that despite the government's claims of stabilizing the naira against the dollar, there is a lack of transparency regarding how borrowed funds are utilized.

He argued that the size of the national budget, which the government frequently boasts about, does not translate into tangible benefits for citizens. Momodu emphasized that the impact of the loans taken by Tinubu's administration is not visible in the daily lives of ordinary Nigerians.

He criticized the government for relying on propaganda rather than providing clear economic explanations and insisted that Nigerians deserve transparency regarding the borrowing and spending of funds. Momodu's remarks highlight concerns about the economic policies and financial management of the current administration.
