Nigerian Minister Honors Young Cyclist's World Record

On a significant occasion in Abuja, Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Nigerian Minister of Tourism, received a Guinness World Record certificate for Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, a 15-year-old autistic artist and cyclist. Kanyeyachukwu achieved recognition for completing a 686-mile cycling expedition from Enugu to Lagos.

Minister Musawa commended Kanyeyachukwu and his family for their resilience and creativity, stating that Kanyeyachukwu shines a light on the world and inspires others, particularly regarding autism awareness in Nigeria. Kanyeyachukwu's mother, Dr.

Silvia Tagbo-Okeke, was present during the certificate presentation, expressing gratitude for the consistent support received. This achievement marks Kanyeyachukwu's second Guinness World Record, as he aims to set the record for the youngest person to cycle 100 miles.

An upcoming art exhibit featuring Kanyeyachukwu is scheduled at the United Nations in New York from May 20 to August 25, 2026, showcasing his journey and the cultural heritage of Nigeria.
