Bolt Driver Emmanuel Ita Found Dead in Calabar Car

Emmanuel Effiong Ita, a 29-year-old Bolt driver, was discovered dead inside his Honda City vehicle along the Target–Udy King axis of Calabar on Thursday, August 28, 2026. The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, confirmed the incident in a statement released on Friday, August 29, 2026.

Ita, a resident of Ikot Effanga Mkpa, was found in connection with the vehicle in that area. His family had already taken his remains to the General Hospital Mortuary before police personnel arrived.

A preliminary examination at the mortuary revealed an injury on his chest. The police have recovered the vehicle and are preserving evidence for forensic examination.

The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough investigation, with a commitment to publicizing significant developments.
