Shreveport Man Kills Seven Children in Domestic Shooting

In a tragic incident in Shreveport, a man identified as Shamar Elkin reportedly killed seven of his own children during a domestic shooting early Sunday morning at approximately 5:00 AM. Following the shooting, Elkin fled the scene in a stolen vehicle but was later tracked down by police, leading to a confrontation where he was shot.

The attack also resulted in two adult women, including the children's mother, being struck by gunfire, with reports indicating that they were in critical condition. One child survived the attack and managed to alert authorities.

The community expressed deep shock over the violence, with local officials, including Tom Arceneaux, describing the incident as one of the worst the city has experienced in recent times.
