Transcorp Hotels Empowers Women in 16th Business Program

Transcorp Hotels PLC graduated its 16th cohort of the Business Empowerment Programme for Women (BEPW), reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth. Since its establishment in 2016, the program has empowered 64 young women by providing tailored training in business, financial management, and customer service.

The initiative is part of Transcorp Hotels' corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to create long-term social and economic impacts. Upon completing the six-month program, participants receive sewing machines and relevant tools to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys.

Uzoamaka Oshogwe, Managing Director and CEO of Transcorp Hotels PLC, stated that the hospitality sector goes beyond guest experiences and emphasizes investing in young women to support entrepreneurship and create social and economic impacts. The program also promotes sustainable practices by repurposing used hotel bed items.
