Troops Arrest Drug Peddler, Foil Terrorist Attack in Sokoto
On September 12 and 13, 2026, troops from the Joint Task Force North West, under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, conducted significant operations in Kaduna and Sokoto States. On September 12, during a stop-and-search operation along the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari road, they arrested a suspected drug peddler, Yohana Musa, who was found with a large quantity of illicit drugs.
