Troops Neutralize Two Terrorists in Kebbi Operation

On June 27, troops from the Joint Task Force, under the command of Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, neutralized two suspected Lakurawa terrorists during an operation in Kebbi State. The operation, named "Sabarumawa," was initiated following credible intelligence indicating a planned attack on the Sabarumawa community.

Troops swiftly mobilized to establish a tactical ambush along the suspected route of the terrorists. As the terrorists approached the ambush position, the troops engaged them in a fierce gun battle, leveraging superior firepower to overwhelm the attackers.

The operation resulted in the neutralization of two terrorists, while the remaining members of the group fled into the surrounding forest. The troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and 143 rounds of ammunition during the operation.

Lt. Col. Danja reaffirmed the commitment of the Joint Task Force to sustain offensive operations against terrorist groups and urged the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible information.
