Troops Raid IPOB/ESN Camps in Anambra, Recover Arms

Troops of the newly established 15 Brigade, Nigerian Army, operating under the Joint Task Force in Southeast, conducted a coordinated raid on three suspected Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) camps in Anambra. The operation, part of Operation Udo Ka, was intelligence-led and executed following credible information regarding the activities of suspected IPOB/ESN members at camps located at Osuakwa, along the boundary between Ihiala and Ogbaru Local Government Areas.

During the dawn raid, the joint force faced hostile fire but successfully neutralized three suspected IPOB/ESN members and overran all three camps, preventing their future use. The troops recovered a cache of weapons, including an FN rifle, a pump-action shotgun, dynamite, motorcycles, and logistical items.

Additionally, one suspected IPOB/ESN member named Chijioke was arrested along with two accomplices and six children. The Commander of the 15 Brigade commended the troops and emphasized the commitment to ongoing intelligence-led operations to ensure safety and security in the region.
