Troops Rescue 10 NECO Candidates in Borno Attack

On Monday, following a terrorist attack in Lassa Community, Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, troops from the Nigerian Military successfully rescued 10 candidates and teachers who were abducted during the incident. The attack occurred while nine students from a technical secondary school were writing their NECO examinations.

Captain Moham Goni disclosed that the military swiftly launched a coordinated search and rescue mission, deploying ground troops alongside strike aircraft and intelligence surveillance reconnaissance platforms. The troops engaged in fierce gun battles with the fleeing terrorists in the Daggu area, ultimately rescuing the victims without injury.

The rescued individuals are currently receiving appropriate care and support. The military has intensified operations in collaboration with relevant security agencies to ensure the safety of vulnerable communities and prevent similar attacks, reaffirming their commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace in the northeast.
