Troops Rescue Abductees, Repel ISWAP Attack in Borno

Troops from the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, led by Captain Moham Goni, conducted successful search and rescue operations in Borno State, specifically in the Askira Uba Local Government Area. They rescued two additional abductees from a terrorist hideout and recovered N1.2 million, food items, and other supplies believed to support terrorist operations.

During a coordinated attack by ISWAP terrorists on a military location in Borno State, troops repelled the assault after an intense firefight, inflicting significant casualties on the attackers. The situation at Forward Operating Base Logomani remained under control, with additional measures taken to strengthen defenses.

Furthermore, troops from the 232 Battalion arrested a notorious criminal in Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa State, recovering an AK-47 rifle and ammunition. The operation also led to the arrest of two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers in Borno State, with various items recovered, including cash and a vehicle.
