Troops Rescue Two Civilians, Recover 94 Rustled Livestock

On 25 August, troops of Sector 1 engaged terrorists during a clearance operation in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The terrorists attempted an ambush but retreated, leaving behind an abandoned motorcycle.

That same day, troops responded to a distress call regarding the abduction of three civilians and livestock rustling in Igabi Local Government Area. They successfully rescued two female victims, while a male victim died from a gunshot wound sustained during the incident.

In Kano State, troops pursued fleeing terrorists on 25 August in Gwarzo Local Government Area, leading to the recovery of 94 rustled livestock, including 57 cows and 37 sheep, which were returned to their owners. The operations underscore the escalating security threats in North-West Nigeria, affecting lives and livelihoods.

Operation FANSAN YAMMA will continue to conduct intelligence-driven operations and patrols to disrupt terrorist activities and protect communities. The Joint Task Force commended public cooperation in enhancing security.
