TTP Advocates Truck Efficiency for Cleaner Port Operations

At an event in Lagos last week, Jama Onwubuariri, co-founder of the Truck Transit Park (TTP), asserted that truck efficiency is crucial for achieving cleaner port operations in Nigeria. He emphasized the significance of electronic call systems in promoting orderly and sustainable practices along the Apapa-Tin Can port corridor.

Onwubuariri, representing TTP as the General Manager of Corporate Strategy and Communications, stated that the company's commitment to sustainable port operations goes beyond corporate messaging and is embedded in their processes. He noted that improving truck management contributes significantly to environmental protection, enhances working conditions for dockworkers, and reduces traffic congestion around Nigeria's seaports.

The event was part of the 2026 Dockworkers Day celebration, organized by the Ship Correspondents Association of Nigeria, which focused on the theme of green port sustainable practices.
