TUC Chair Osifo Commends DSS for Arresting Terrorists

On Tuesday in Abuja, Festus Osifo, the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for its recent arrests and prosecutions of terrorists and bandits across Nigeria. He stated that these actions send a clear message to criminal elements threatening communities.

Osifo supported the DSS leadership's stance that individuals responsible for the loss of human lives due to terrorism and banditry should face the death penalty, arguing that such measures would deter further criminal activities. He urged the DSS to maintain its momentum in arrests and prosecutions, emphasizing the responsibility of citizens to hold the government accountable for both positive and negative actions.

Osifo also praised the DSS Director-General, Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, for ongoing reforms within the Service and encouraged further efforts to combat insecurity in the country.
