Afenifere Praises Governors for Anti-Terrorism Efforts

Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization, commended Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for their decisive responses to the threats of banditry and kidnapping along the Ogber-Sagamu Road. The organization praised Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu and the Commissioners of Police for Ogun and Lagos States, Bode Ojajuni and Tijani Olaiwola, respectively, for their coordinated efforts in tackling criminal activities in the region.

A letter signed on behalf of Afenifere leader Reuben Fasoranti acknowledged the significant restoration of public safety due to these efforts. The organization emphasized the importance of robust inter-state collaboration to combat violent crime and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the South West remains a secure environment.

Afenifere also noted the successful joint security operations that led to the rescue of five kidnapping victims within 24 hours and the neutralization of several suspects during these operations.
