APC Elders Accuse Yari of Supporting PRP Candidate in Bauchi

The Bauchi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Group has accused Senator Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State and current Senator representing Zamfara West, of allegedly sponsoring the governorship campaign of Senator Shehu Buba from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP). The group characterized Yari's actions as anti-party activities that could destabilize the APC before the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by Zonal Secretary Dr. Mustafa Babayo Tunga, the elders expressed concern over Yari's alleged financial inducements to APC supporters to back Buba against the APC's candidate, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.

They claimed Yari was involved in meetings in Abuja to strategize support for Buba, who had previously left the APC. The group called for an investigation by the APC's national chairman and warned that anyone supporting Buba should be viewed as an opponent of the APC, reaffirming their commitment to the party's unity and electoral success.
